Family Business Challenges

The mix of family and business relationships can be a challenge for the business owners, those who work in the business (whether family members or not), and for other stakeholders.

The Three-Circle Model of the family business system was developed at Harvard Business School in 1978. It is a helpful tool to understand the different roles stakeholders play in the family enterprise, how that impacts decision-making and can lead to conflict.
